Welcome to Puy du Fou UK
Puy du Fou is a multiple award-winning world leader in creating spectacular historical live shows and immersive experiences based upon the history and culture of a country and its people.
Following extensive public consultation, we have submitted an outline planning application to open a new park near Bicester in Cherwell, Oxfordshire.
This website provides an introduction to Puy du Fou, a summary of our proposals, and information about how you can keep in touch or show your support.
The Puy du Fou
experience
We are storytellers, creating live shows depicting historical events inspired and rooted in local heritage, local culture and local heroes. Our two existing parks in France and Spain have won 25 awards internationally in the last five years alone.
When you visit a Puy du Fou park, you walk through a beautiful natural environment, travelling through time by immersion in our historical shows and period villages populated by authentic craftsmen.
Our parks are not plastic stage sets; there are no neon flashing lights or rollercoasters. Everything we do must be real, built using the crafts and materials of the time period they represent, and all set in woodland and beautiful gardens, which become the stage for world-class shows and immersive experiences that bring history to life.

Timeline for Puy du Fou UK
We have wanted to come to the UK for many years, to have the opportunity to celebrate Britain’s rich and colourful history. The site we have chosen is near Junction 10 of the M40 in Oxfordshire, roughly three kilometres north of Bicester.
We submitted an outline planning application in August 2025. This followed an extensive public consultation, which took over a year and included six in-person events and over 250 individual meetings with local authorities, residents' associations, parish and town councils, heritage organisations, education providers, business institutions and many more – all of which helped to shape our final proposals.
